CCSA in the Community

Each year the CCSA presents at least five solo recitals, two large group performances and a concert featuring the Keweenaw Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Reading Orchestra. See Upcoming Performances.

CCSA students also take part in about thirty additional public performances ranging from nursing home visits to concerts at area schools and community events. These performances provide musical entertainment to our community and they are an important part of our program because of the benefits they provide our students. CCSA students at local art showOur students are encouraged to take part in as many performances as possible. Like most things, performing becomes much easier the more a student does it. The earlier a student is able to begin performing, the more likely it is that they will not suffer from performance anxiety. Our instructors try to make our performing situations as relaxed and fun as possible! Many of our students love to perform and look forward to recitals and concerts.

Twice a year, in May and November, we publish Musical Musings, a newsletter for our community. It is automatically mailed to our friends and supporters.
