Member Benefits
Every family in the CCSA program pays an annual membership (registration) fee of $25 in addition to tuition for specific classes. Benefits of membership include:
- Free group classes (in addition to the weekly private lesson covered by tuition)
- Free violin classes for parents of our students
- Two large group recitals and a minimum of five solo recitals per year. Each student typically performs on at least two solo recitals per year. This includes extra rehearsals with an accompanist and CCSA instructors in preparation for recitals.
- Community performances with a CCSA instructor
- Free workshops with visiting musicians
- Low cost member instrument rental
- Reduced rates to Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra and other Visual and Performing Arts Events for CCSA students and their families.
- Discounts on music, strings and other member supplies.
- Free T-shirts
In addition the CCSA offers:
- Need based scholarships -- up to 50% of tuition in some cases.
- Tuition reduction in exchange for fundraising.
- Degreed, professional instructors with Suzuki teacher training certification.
- A combined total of over 40 years of teaching and performing experience among our well-qualified teachers.
