Registration Letter

May 1, 2006

Dear CCSA Families:

Enclosed you will find all of the necessary registration materials for the fall. Please read all of the materials carefully, as always there are several changes.

This past year, we began our new mentoring program. Older, more advance students were matched with younger students to practice once or twice a month. About ten students participated in this program and the results were very positive. To find out more about our mentoring program, please read the Course Descriptions. You can sign your child up to take part in this program on the registration form.

As in previous years, a major focus this year will be the building of our lower string program. Many of you may have never considered trying a lower stringed instrument and now is your chance! Any current violin student who wishes to try the viola or cello will receive free instrument rental for the first term of study.

Enclosed you will find a fundraising information page. This page describes our fundraising activities throughout the year. It is very important to the success of our program that every family participates in our fundraising efforts. In September, we will be selling flower bulbs. I encourage every family to participate. Fundraisers help us provide scholarships and maintain our affordable fees. You will be receiving a fundraising packet from your private instructor the first week of lessons.

If you have any questions regarding the registration materials please call me at 487-3606 or e-mail me at ecmeyer@mtu.edu. You may also wish to visit our website at www.coppercountrysuzuki.org where you can find registration materials as well as schedule and performance updates. Your completed registration form must be returned to me no later than August 26th. You don’t need to send payment now; you will receive a bill in September. Scheduling is on a first come, first served basis and sending in your materials early will aid in getting the lesson time of your choice. Your private instructor will be contacting you regarding lesson times shortly before classes begin. Individual lessons will begin on Tuesday, September 5th. Group lessons will begin the following week. I look forward to seeing you in September!

Sincerely,

Libby Meyer
Executive Director Copper Country Suzuki Association
